Hi & welcome to my PS blog! This blog is for full PS although some steps will also work in PSE. Most actions, unless stated are not PSE compatiable. I do try to make an action for PSE from time to time. I hope you have fun here and learn some things along the way. If you have any questions, just drop me a comment! :O)

Got my laptop back...

and all is good with the world again! Ha! So now I can start posting some fun stuff!

I want to share one of my last 2 actions sets I've recorded! I wanted to ask you girls which you'd like first! My b&w conversion set which has 11 b&w conversions, a dodge/burn action/a haze action and a ligthen and darken action. Or my eye pop action! Majority wins. I'd like to post it tomorrow and I'll post it with examples. So leave a comment and let me know which action you'd like to see shared tomorrow!

And if you have anything specific you've been trying to learn, leave me a comment and I'll start making a list. It feels GOOD to be back! Hope everyone has been well and thanks so much for your patience!

ok, I would love the black and white ones, although I don't actually know how to use the actions... I will figure it out though!

I have never used actions, but they both sound great! I am glad you are back...i have been struggling a bit with sharpening- not sure if I have a great handle on using the highpass filter method or which numbers to use in unsharp mask...would love a tut on that! Thanks!

I'd love to see your eye pop action!

I love black and white conversions, so I'd like to see that one first. But I also would love to see the eye pop action eventually! Glad you're back. Will think about the list of what I want to learn (just got the trial version of CS4 and am playing with curves at the moment).

Hi girls. Thank you so much for the feedback! I will post the b&w conversion set first! :O) Please excuse the delay. I've been editng for 3 days straight since getting my laptop back. 3 memory cards FULL! Ha! I'm at the tail end, so I will get the action set up tomorrow (Thurs) sometime and I'm working on a couple tuts...an intro to layer masks & color correcting/color casts/color casts in shadows. The main part will be using a CS4 specific tool that is new & AWESOME, but it can be done by hand in the older versions too. I really appreciate your patience. Life is getting busy with summer and trips, but I will do my best to keep the tips & tuts coming! :O)

And Marissa...I will do a quick sharpening tut early next week! I'm not a pro at it, but I've found a pretty good process that works for me. So I'll go over how I did it! Thanks for the suggestion!

About my PS Blog

Hi, my name is Crystal and I am addicted to Photoshop. I have PSCS4 and it's my other half. I love photography, but sometimes I think it's a means to edit!

So I thought it would be fun to have a place to post the free action sets I record, tips and tricks that I learn in PS and tuts for various different types of photo editing.

I hope you enjoy and find my PS blog helpful and if you have any questions, leave me a comment with your questions and your email address and I will get back to you!

Happy editing!

About Me

My photo
I am a stay at home to 2 great girls. My older daughter Haylee just started middle school and my younger daughter Avyree is in 1st grade! I have been married 11 years to my hubs Eric. I got my first DSLR June 31, 2008 and have been hooked ever since! My style is primarily Lifestyle! I like to take a natural and real life approach to my images! I want them to remind me of WHO my girls were when they were little, not just what they looked like. I love to edit and my editing style is always evolving and changing! I like variety and photography is a means to edit! I shoot Canon (full frame) and almost only primes. I pull out my wide angle zoom from time to time! Thanks for stopping by and I hope you like our story...
